You can begin the registration process at any time for classes next semester. Your registration will be complete when you finish these steps and attend 1 online registration event

New Student Registration Process

  1. Take 2 Placement Exams (time needed is approximately 30 minutes–1 hour). To take the test on a device at home, follow these instructions:
    • Go to Emmersion.
    • Provide the information needed to create an account. A student ID is not required. Do not enter your Social Security Number in this field.
    • Create an account.
    • Sign in to your account.
    • Take 2 tests: English Grammar and English Reading. (English Listening is not required.)​
    • When you finish the exam, email the ESL Office​ to let us know that you have completed it.
    • The ESL Office will check your results.

      Please Note: The Placement Tests are free. The Placement Tests can be taken on any computer or on your phone. Without the placement exams, you are automatically a candidate for Level 1: Foundations of English. 

  2. Complete the Quick Admit Form with your personal information, and email it to the ESL Office

  3. Attend one Registration Event: Each semester begins with Registration Events on Zoom. To complete your registration, all new and returning students must attend one online Registration Event.
     

Returning Student Registration Process

  1. Placement exams are not needed for returning students. We are able to see the courses you completed.
  2. Complete the Quick Admit Form with your personal information, and email it to the ESL Office.

  3. Attend one Registration Event: Each semester begins with Registration Events on Zoom. To complete your registration, all new and returning students must attend one online Registration Event.
