The Department of Computer Science and Information Systems is your source for technology-related majors.
We offer majors in computer science, computer information systems and our newest major in cybersecurity.
We house both Computer Science and Computer Information Systems majors under one roof, so that you will be better able to figure out which major is the right fit for you. You will also have the opportunity to get involved in internships to learn more about each of the fields.
Our computer science major is designed for students interested in computer programming and software development.
Our computer information systems major is designed for those who are interested in computer technology and business but don't necessarily want to become a programmer.
The BS in Cybersecurity program at Rhode Island College is housed within the Institute for Cybersecurity & Emerging Technologies, a regional center of excellence that provides education, programming and research to help develop Rhode Island’s cybersecurity industry.
We offer minors in computer information systems, computer science, data analytics, cybersecurity, and web development.
This building will be a modern, state-of-the-art research, education and training facility for cybersecurity and emerging technologies.
The goal is for Rhode Island to become a leader in the AI-driven future.
