Programs Offered

Our bachelor’s degrees offer the best pathway to a variety of psychology careers, while also providing the academic foundation for a graduate degree. Our B.A.-to-M.A. program allows you to complete both your undergraduate and advanced degree in psychology. Additionally, all undergraduate students have the option to pursue our minor programs - gaining practical knowledge in psychology that can be applied to any course of study.

The Psychology BA offers a strong foundation for many careers in a variety of research, business, and community settings. It also prepares students for a graduate degree to enter advanced positions in the field. The 24-credit minor program compliments all RIC majors, providing a background in the science of human behavior.

Who is this for?

Our BA program is for students who want to learn about the science of human behavior, and how it applies in a variety of research and employment settings. Our minor program is for students who want to understand the major areas of psychology, such as human development, social/personality, and cognition, in order to apply it to their major program of study.

This program prepares students for entry-level positions or graduate study in the field of mental and behavioral health.

Who is this for?

Those interested in pursuing a career in counseling or working toward an advanced degree in counseling or social work.

Behavioral Neuroscience Minor Click to learn who this is for

The behavioral neuroscience minor prepares students for careers or graduate study in fields related to behavior and brain function.

Who is this for?

Students who want to apply understanding of brain and behavior in a variety of settings such as biotechnology, consulting, medicine, pharmaceutical, public health, research, or teaching.

This program allows undergraduate students to begin working on their Masters degree in their senior year, and complete both the bachelors and masters degrees within 5 years.

Who is this for?

Undergraduate students with a minimum 3.0 GPA who want to begin work on their masters degree.
