Adult/Gerontology Acute Care for Nurse Practitioners CGS
Expand Your Role as a Nurse Practitioner
The Certificate of Graduate Studies (CGS) in adult/gerontology acute care for nurse practitioners is an 18-credit certificate program designed for those who already hold a master’s degree in nursing and wish to expand upon their current role as a nurse practitioner. Applicants must have completed the prerequisites for Advanced Pathophysiology, Advanced Pharmacology and Advanced Health Assessment courses. If you are currently a certified APRN, the three prerequisites may be waived. (Admission requirements are the same as for the MSN in nursing program, with the exception that the Miller Analogies Test or the GRE are not required and that one year of acute care of experience is required.)
