What You'll Learn and Gain

With primary care systems rapidly adopting 'health-care home' team-based models, it's a clear indication that collaborative, team-based integrated physical and behavioral healthcare is becoming more prevalent in Rhode Island.

To meet this emerging need, this program prepares students to:

  • appropriately and positively function as part of an interprofessional team
  • understand social determinants of health
  • develop competencies in engaging and supporting clients across a range of health conditions

Understand the Basic Program Structure

  • 15 credits
  • 300 hours of internship (each semester) in a primary care setting and functioning as a behavioral health clinician
