Admission Requirements
After accumulating at least 60 credit hours toward your degree (at least 24 from Rhode Island College), you may apply for admission. No student may be admitted with fewer than 30 credits remaining in their program. You apply by submitting an Honors Application Form and an Honors Program Proposal to the Health Care Administration program liaison or the director of the program.
Criteria for Admission:
- You must be enrolled as a health care administration major.
- You must have at least a 3.50 GPA in all major and core courses taken prior to admission to the program.
- You must have at least a 3.25 GPA in all courses taken prior to admission to the Departmental Honors Program (including transfer credits).
- You must submit an Honors Application Form, including all transcripts from institutions of higher education, a letter of recommendation from a current faculty member and your research proposal. (Please utilize this cover sheet for your proposal.)
- Your proposal must be approved by the Honors Committee.
- You must receive a letter of acceptance from the Honors Committee.
