Graduate Assistant HOPE Scholarship Program

Full-Time, 20 Hours / Week

Duties and Responsibilities

We are seeking support for data management and special projects for the Hope Scholarship Program at Rhode Island College. This includes assistance with:

  • collecting, managing, and analyzing student and program data for continuous improvement
  • the program’s further use of technology, digital media, art media, and social media 
  • special projects and special events including information sessions and tabling
  • outreach to undergraduate students interested in the Hope Scholarship

Benefit of Graduate Assistantship to Student (Beyond Financial Assistance)

The Hope Scholarship Program’s Graduate Assistant will be able to utilize and enhance their skills in using a variety of technology, digital media, social media, organizational, and administrative skills to then showcase for future employment applications.  

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel required.  Also, knowledge of digital media and computer graphics, and social media preferred.
  • Internet skills including proficiency with Google Apps, Google, Docs, Google Forms, Google Sites, and web and mobile applications.
  • Able to multi-task with excellent organizational skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong writing and grammatical skills.
  • Reliable self-starter able to work well independently.
