Come Out to Brunch Drag Show
Monday, April 15; 11 am–12 pm; Student Union Ballroom
Get ready for a fierce and fabulous morning with the Unity Center’s very own Drag Brunch, kicking off Pride Week 2024! Witness dazzling lip-syncs and stunning fits that will leave you gagging. Featuring performances by Valerie Joy & Rage Ramzee-Brown, it’s sure to be a brunch you will never forget! Hosted by Unity Center.
Haus of Codec Pop-Up Mobile Fundraiser
Celebrate Pride Week by donating to Haus of Codec during April 15–April 17! Unity Center programmers will be going around campus with a wagon of prizes for people who donate. Check the @unitycenterric Instagram for their location and show them proof of donation to win a prize. The more you give, the more you win!
What is Haus of Codec? "Haus of Codec is providing a safe housing space for youth ages 18 - 24 to call home and help them find their own, more permanent housing solutions and workforce development opportunities. The shelter space hosts a food and clothing pantry, a self-service kitchen, a shared bathroom, access to essential services through partner providers, and a sense of community where there wasn't one before."
Sex Toy Bingo
Tuesday, April 16; 6:30 pm check-in in Gaige Hall lobby, 7 pm bingo start time in Gaige Hall 100
Join the RIC Pride Alliance in bingo fun! The first 20 people to RSVP will get a free bingo card emailed to them! Bingo cards will be sold at the door, with a 3 per person limit. 1 card costs $2 or get 3 for $5 - cash or Venmo only. 50% of the proceeds will be donated to RI Pride.
SHIP Workshop: Motorboat Your Myths
Wednesday, April 17; 7–9pm; Gaige Hall 200
Think you have a high sex IQ? Dive in face first with this workshop! SHIP will address the sexuality myths you’ve heard and guide you through the facts about sexual health, sex positivity, safer sex, hook up culture, and orgasms. In this two hour workshop participants will learn about fun fondling, happy hooking up, sexy safer sex as well as have an opportunity to get their own questions answered.
Disco Pride Prom
Thursday, April 18; 7–11pm, Student Union Ballroom
All Are Welcome! Come to prom with RIC Pride Alliance and Rhode Island College Radio WXIN and enjoy karaoke, prizes, a photo booth, free food, and more!
Our theme is "disco," but please dress however you feel comfortable.
Lavender Stole Ceremony
Friday, April 19; 4–5:30 pm; The Roger Williams Park Casino
The Unity Center’s Lavender Stole Ceremony honors graduates who are Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, or Queer.
