The department of Information Technology Services (ITS) is responsible for the support of academics and administrative functions including planning, management and direction of technology initiatives at Rhode Island College.
The Rhode Island College ITS department provides the campus community information technology services including student systems, wired and wireless networks, telephones, event management systems, cyber security systems, email, classroom and lab services, learning management systems, lecture capture, training, and many other technology related services.
Management Information Services is responsible for providing technical support for all administrative functions at Rhode Island College.
User Support Services (USS) is responsible for all end user client devices, training, the college LMS (Blackboard), academic computing including walk-in labs and instructional classrooms, and the college Helpdesk.
Network and Telecommunications is responsible for the maintenance of the data and voice infrastructure on the Rhode Island College campus.
It is the responsibility of Information Security to ensure the security and confidentiality of covered information; protect against anticipated threats or hazards to the security and integrity of such information; and protect against unauthorized access or use of such information.
