Our Graduate Programs
The Department of Elementary Education's graduate programs for certified teachers provides the subject matter and pedagogical knowledge needed for high levels of performance within school settings. Our curriculum and integrated clinical experiences are designed to increase knowledge and understanding of teaching and to prepare candidates for leadership positions. We also provide a way for academically competent and highly motivated college graduates with a liberal arts background to enter the field of education.

Dual certification in early childhood and early childhood special education
Pursue a certification in early childhood and early childhood special education offered by the departments of Elementary Education and Special Education. Rhode Island College is currently the only institution in the state for working professionals to gain access to dual certification in early childhood and early childhood special education through a fully on-line competency-based educator program.
