What to Expect

The Certificate of Graduate Studies (CGS) provides advanced study in the biological sciences and its application in the laboratory. Students gain research experience and written communication skills in a specific area of biology, which prepares them for the rigors of professional programs. This program is designed to be completed in one year of full-time study. It consists of 15-17 credit hours that include required and elective graduate-level coursework and research.
