The role of strategic communication is to connect an organization’s mission, values and goals to its various audiences and stakeholders, whether they’re internal (e.g. the employees of a company) or external (e.g. its potential customers). Nearly any organization of any size across almost all industries employs strategic communications professionals, whose responsibilities may encompass social media, strategy, analysis, graphic design, speech writing, production of collateral like fact sheets and news releases, or speaking on behalf of the organization.
