Why Medical Imaging? | Why Our Program?
- Choose from seven concentrations: Diagnostic medical sonography, magnetic resonance imaging, medical imaging management, nuclear medicine technology, radiologic technology, RT computed tomography, vascular interventional radiography.
- Clinical education sites include Rhode Island Hospital, Hasbro Children’s Hospital, The Miriam Hospital, Newport Hospital, University Orthopedics, Rhode Island Medical Imaging, and Women & Infants Hospital.
- Students who successfully complete the medical imaging program are eligible to take national certification examinations.
- Topics covered in the Medical Imaging BS curriculum include: Communications for health professionals; statistical methods; anatomy and physiology; chemistry; microbiology; medical terminology.
Through our partnership with the School of Medical Imaging, job placement rates for graduates of this program are often at or near one hundred percent.
