What to Expect

The BA in psychology at Rhode Island College broadly covers the field of psychology. You will take courses in research methods, personality, social psychology, developmental psychology and experimental psychology. Because psychology, as a discipline, has largely adopted a scientific approach to the study of behavior, three of your required courses in the major are fully devoted to research methods and statistics. Upon completion of this program, you will be prepared for entry-level positions in a wide range of fields, including law, probation/parole, psychiatric assistance, social work, business, marketing, public relations and sales.
