Behavioral Health Studies BS Program Specifics

The BS in Behavioral Health Studies is an extension of the BA in psychology major; however, there is less choice in course selection and the program includes a series of five professional development courses (two of which are nursing courses).

Expected Outcomes

Upon completing the Behavioral Health Studies major, you will be prepared for entry-level positions in the field of chemical dependency or counselor in training. You will also be ready to pursue advanced degrees, such as the MA degree in counseling – chemical dependency counseling and the MSW degree in social work, as well as professional certification at the advanced chemical dependency level.
