Digital Media Concentration
As a Studio Art BA or BFA student you may pursue the Digital Media concentration–a fine arts-oriented program rooted in the latest digital visual technologies.
Teaching Approach
Courses are taught with a content-driven approach that helps students on personal portfolio development. In the Digital Media curriculum, students use advanced digital visual tools to create artwork, and improve critical thinking related (but not limited to) digital visual culture.
Curriculum and Skills Taught
The Curriculum includes instruction in 2D animation, 2D video editing and video production, 3D modeling, 3D animation, 3D rapid prototype printing, virtual reality environments, and interactive art. Students gain essential technical skills, engage in conceptual development, and develop a historical knowledge-base required for the 21st century media art arena.
