Graduate Assistant for Social Work, Dean's Office
Part-time (10 hours per week)
Primary Purpose
The GA’s primary purpose will be to work with the Dean’s office in the day to day operations, specific projects and the school’s reaffirmation.
Duties and Responsibilities
Support Dean’s office in reaffirmation of MSW and BSW programs
- Data management
- Day to day operations
- Data storage
- Communication campaigns
- Attend meetings as needed
Outreach to community partners, students, and alumni
- Develop social media content
- Participate in SSW promotional events such as community presentations
- Support communication campaign to alumni
Event Planning and Implementation
- Assist in planning SSW events
- Assist in marketing events
- Assist in setting up and taking down event
Qualifications
- Graduate student from any school in good academic standing
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Good written and oral communication skills; Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently; Receive and make use of constructive feedback
- Computer skills- Word Processing, Excel, research and information gathering from legitimate sources

- Develop capacity to communicate in an academic context with faculty, staff, and students.
- Engage in data analysis, data input and report preparation.
- Participate in, develop, and pursue collaboration with regional social welfare organizations.
