Graduate Assistant School Psychology

Half-time (10 hours per week)

Duties and Responsibilities

The School Psychology GA will assist with various projects to support the School Psychology Program, including:

  1. Assessment Library Management: Oversee inventory, organization, and a reliable check-in/check-out system for test materials.
  2. Assessment Course Support: Assist faculty with technology-based assessment practices and student learning activities.
  3. Data Collection and Analysis:
    • Interpret exit survey data from recent program graduates.
    • Analyze employer survey data to evaluate program impact.
    • Collect and analyze student demographics data as part of our program’s Continuous Program Improvement goal of increasing diversity.
  4. Program Marketing and Recruitment:
    • Create content for the program website, social media, and departmental newsletters.
    • Facilitate information sessions for prospective applicants to our program.
    • Develop strategies to increase visibility in area schools and attract diverse applicants.
    • Help to coordinate and participate in admissions, interview day activities, and Graduate Studies Fairs.
  5. Grant Writing Assistance: Support literature reviews and related tasks to help faculty secure external funding.

Qualifications

Preferred skills and experience:

  • Knowledge of School Psychology principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Canva.
  • Familiarity with web-based surveys (e.g., Qualtrics) and social media platforms.
