Dido and Aeneas is a tale of the ill-fated relationship between the Dido, the Queen of Carthage and the Trojan adventurer Aeneas. The opera will be performed by an all-student cast and orchestra directed by RIC faculty Lori Philips, Sam Breene, and Todd Borgerding, with preconcert talk and accompanying reception presented by noted Purcell and Restoration theatre scholar, Amanda Eubanks Winkler, Professor and Head of Music at Rutgers University.
