  • Foreign language skills open opportunities for work in other parts of the world and help you connect with other places and cultures.
  • We offer five concentrations in modern languages: French, Francophone studies, Latin American studies, Portuguese and Spanish.
  • Minor programs are available in French, Francophone studies, Latin American studies, Portuguese, Spanish, and Italian, and courses in Arabic, German and Russian are also available.
  • Topics covered in the BA in modern languages curriculum include: applied grammar, conversation and composition, cultural anthropology, global politics, international literature and world history.
