Why Medical Imaging? | Why Our Program?
- Our medical imaging program offers four concentrations: diagnostic medical sonography, magnetic resonance imaging, nuclear medicine technology and radiography.
- Our students engage in clinical rotations at Rhode Island Hospital, Hasbro Children’s Hospital, The Miriam Hospital, Newport Hospital, University Orthopedics, Rhode Island Medical Imaging and Women & Infants Hospital, among others.
- Students who successfully complete the medical imaging program are eligible to take the certification exam. Our student pass rate on the exam is approaching 100 percent.
- Topics covered in the BS in medical imaging curriculum include: communication for health professionals, statistical methods, anatomy and physiology, chemistry, microbiology and medical terminology.
Job placement rates for graduates of our program are 98%.
