Why Wellness & Exercise Science? | Why Our Program?

  • Multidisciplinary Bachelor of Science program incorporates a scientific foundation in biology, anatomy, physiology and kinesiology, as well as elements of marketing, psychology, and sociology.
  • Emphasis on experiential learning opportunities, including full-semester internship in a fitness and wellness setting.
  • The three areas that set our program apart from similar programs are the focus on a holistic and proactive approach to wellness, the incorporation of movement in courses, and the use of experiential learning and field work starting in the first semester.
  • Topics covered in the Wellness & Exercise Science BS curriculum include: Human anatomy; nutrition; kinesiology; public health; motor development; coaching.
