Why Elementary Education? | Why Our Program?
- Upon successful completion of this program, students are eligible for full certification to teach elementary education (grades 1-6) and middle level (grades 5-8) in Rhode Island.
- Choose from two teaching concentrations: mathematics or general science.
- Teacher candidates in the Feinstein School of Education and Human Development begin gaining real classroom experience as early as their first year.
- Topics covered in the Elementary Education BA curriculum include: Literacy; educational psychology; physical sciences; social studies; mathematics; special education practices.
