Faculty Development Day
Established in 1996, the Faculty Development Day (FDD) is the Writing Board's showcase event of the academic year and one of RIC's longest-standing opportunities for professional development. Focused primarily on providing guidance on effective strategies for teaching writing-in-the-disciplines, the FDD offers an opportunity for RIC faculty to acquire and share knowledge with colleagues from across campus. Each year we bring to campus a nationally recognized speaker from the field of Writing Studies to lecture on a topic relevant to faculty across the disciplines or provide hands-on instruction in how to teach writing efficiently and effectively.
