Title IX Coordinator insures that the college is in compliance with its obligations under Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 and the US Department of Education’s implementing regulations at 34 C.F.R. Part 106 which prohibits sex discrimination in all the operations of this College, as well as retaliation, for the purpose of interfering with any right or privilege secured by Title IX. Sexual misconduct against students, including sexual harassment, sexual assault, rape, and sexual exploitation, can be a form of sex discrimination under Title IX. The Title IX coordinator oversees the College’s response to reports and complaints that involve possible sex discrimination to monitor outcomes, identify and address any patterns, and assess effects on the campus climate, so the College can address issues that affect the wider school community.

The Title IX Co-Coordinator will assist the Title IX Coordinator with all student related complaints and investigations, insure that remedies, and sanctions are appropriately addressed, assist in identifying any patterns or systemic problems that arise during the review of such student complaints and report all such complaints and resulting activity to the Title IX Coordinator for monitoring. Work as part of the Title IX Team to assist with identifying Title IX training for faculty, staff and students regarding policies and procedures related to discrimination, sexual harassment or sexual violence as well as prevention. Oversee related student educational materials to ensure they are up-to-date and appropriately disseminated. Assist in providing consultation, technical assistance, and information regarding Title IX requirements, grievance issues, and compliance programs.

Serve as a deputy Title IX coordinator responsible for advising and directing primarily student complaints, investigating, tracking and monitoring complaints, identifying and facilitating remedies or interim measures and sanctions imposed. Work as part of the Title IX Team to assist with identifying Title IX training for faculty, staff and students regarding policies and procedures related to discrimination, sexual harassment or sexual violence as well as prevention. May also assist in advising and directing faculty and staff complainants or assist in investigations. Assist in creating a safe and respectful learning, working and living environment within respective areas of the college.

Work as part of the Title IX Team to assist with identifying Title IX training for faculty, staff and students regarding policies and procedures related to discrimination, sexual harassment or sexual violence as well as prevention. May also assist in advising and directing faculty and staff complainants or assist in investigations. Serve as a deputy Title IX coordinator for Athletics Compliance and Title IX Athletics gender equity compliance efforts. Responsible for advising and directing primarily student complainants, investigating, tracking and monitoring complaints, identifying and facilitating remedies and/or interim measures and sanctions imposed (However, reports of sexual harassment or sexual violence within Athletics will be assigned to another investigator.) Ensure student athletes are educated regarding policies and procedures related to gender equity, discrimination, sexual harassment or sexual violence as well as prevention. Work as part of the Title IX Team to assist with identifying Title IX training for faculty, staff and students regarding policies and procedures related to discrimination, sexual harassment or sexual violence as well as prevention. May also assist in advising and directing faculty and staff complainants or assist in investigations. Assist in creating a safe and respectful learning, working and living environment within respective areas of the college.

Serve as a deputy Title IX coordinator & Campus Security Authority responsible for advising and directing faculty, staff and student complaints of sexual violence, investigating, tracking and monitoring complaints including identifying and facilitating interim protective measures and sanctions imposed. Protects the safety of victims and advises complainants regarding rights to seek immediate medical attention, preserving evidence, right to report or decline to report incidents to local law enforcement, no contact orders, restraining orders or similar lawful orders issued by a criminal, civil, or tribal court. May also assist in advising and directing faculty and staff complainants or assist in investigations. Assist in creating a safe and respectful learning, working and living environment within respective areas of the college.
