Move-In Crew

Welcoming all resident students to the RIC campus, volunteers will be helping residents move in to their dorms and help them get situated so that they may feel ready for the school year. This event is hosted by Student Activities and cosponsored by Res Life and Housing.

Late Nite @ the Student Union

Hosted by Student Activities, Late Nite @ RIC is a fun filled night of Music, Performances, Games, Free Food, Contests and Prizes throughout the halls of The Student Union. In an effort to build community and provide a carefree and entertaining event for the first night that residents spend on campus,. Late Nite provides students with music from WXIN 90.7 and live performances by the Indian Association of Rhode Island as well as RIC students during the Late Nite Talent Show.

Are You Lost? Hungry? Confused? Please join us with starting the Fall 2015 Semester on August 31st and September 1st from 7:30am to 12:15pm. Whether you're a Freshmen, Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or a Transfer Student; you are all invited to our Welcome Depot in the East side of the Quad! (In front of the Craig Lee Building). We will be providing FREE Breakfast, DIRECTIONS to buildings, MAPS, and even give you some INFORMATION about where your classes may be!

Outdoor Movie: Jurassic World

Feel free to bring your own snacks and be sure to invite your friends. The rain location for this event will be in Sapinsley Hall located at The Nazarian Center towards East campus.

RIC Trip: Block Island

Join Student Activities for a scenic voyage to Block Island. We will ride the ferry and explore one of Rhode Island’s most popular tourist destinations. There, students will be able to experience the Island’s beauty and vibrant culture that is Block Island.


Greek Kick Off Fair

The Greek Life Kick Off is the start to fall recruitment that includes RIC’s seven campus recognized fraternities and sororities, the city-wide chapter of Zeta Phi Beta sorority, and Theta Delta Sigma, a multi-cultural co-ed society, and Phi Beta Sigma, a historically Black fraternity, seeking to join our community.  Students who participate will be able learn more about these organizations and Greek Life, get some free Del's, and pay Lazer Tag.  Most of the organizations will continue to hold individual events throughout the year for those students who are interested in joining.  Three of our sororities, Alpha Sigma Tau, Delta Phi Epsilon, and Theta Phi Alpha, do a joint recruitment process the week of September 21st which students have to sign up for either at the event or on the Greek Life website.

For all RIC trips, non-RIC individuals must be at least 18 years of age to attend, unless otherwise noted.  RIC students who are not yet 18 must have a parent or guardian sign a waiver form prior to attending the trip; waiver forms can be found at the Student Union Welcome & Information Center, and Student Union 408.  Tickets for RIC trips can be purchased at the Student Union Welcome and Information Center, 456-8148.  The Info Center only accepts Campus Points! To pay with cash, credit card, or debit card, go to Campus Card, 456-8394, to put money into your Campus Points.  For all trips, meet in the Student Union Lobby to check in.
