On Oct. 8, the RIC Dance Company will present College Dance United!, an evening of dance showcasing the dance programs of RIC, Roger Williams College, Providence College, Salve Regina University and others.

Rhode Island school children will be treated to the RIC Dance Company's Annual Mini-Concert Series in morning concerts Oct. 20-22. An array of modern, jazz, ballet and tap dance will be featured. Repertory selections will include works by Jump Rhythm Jazz Project, Colleen Cavanaugh, Josh Hilberman, Michael Bolger and Katie McNamara.

Offered free to all school children in Rhode Island and nearby Massachusetts since the 1960s, these concerts provide young audiences with an informative and enjoyable introduction to contemporary dance forms.

The Jump Rhythm Jazz Project, an Emmy award-winning dance company of rhythm-driven performers and teachers, will appear Oct. 22.

Founded by Billy Siegenfeld in New York City in 1990, the exciting ensemble performs story-based dance theatre in exuberant bursts of rhythm to the percussive sounds of swinging jazz, blues-and-funk-based rock and world music. Members of The Rhode Island College Dance Company will also perform.

From Dec. 2-4, the Annual Christmas Musical offers a fun-filled evening of song, dance and Santa, too. This special collaboration of RIC’s Music, Theatre, and Dance Department sparkles with dancing presents, singing reindeer and mischievous elves. A fun-filled evening for the whole family!
