Fruit Hill Farmers Market returns to RIC 8/20-10/15

The market offers the season’s local fresh produce, pet treats, specialty items and baked goods.
“I am delighted that once again for the third year the campus community and neighbors are collaborating on the farmers market,” said RIC President Nancy Carriuolo, who first brought the idea of the market in her first year as president of the college.
This year brings some changes. The market will be held on Fridays to help alleviate parking issues, and will take place in the center of campus in Parking Lot Y to give it better access to the campus community and surrounding neighborhoods.
“There is a buzz in the neighborhood. The market has become a great meeting place for the community, as well as a great way to showcase and experience the local flavor,” said Jennifer Zolkos who organized the market with Jennifer Quinn. Both Zolkos and Quinn live in the Fruit Hill area.
