Important message from RIC Health Services

Dear campus community:
After a relatively quiet two months in terms of flu activity, we have had a documented case of H1N1 flu in one of our residential students last week. This underscores what the experts at the R.I. Department of Health and the CDC have been advising:

“Flu season is not over. For the past 36 years, the flu season has peaked in February or later. A third wave of H1N1 flu is expected to hit Rhode Island this spring and vaccination is the best way to protect yourself and others from the flu.”

As noted above, Health Services will sponsor a final immunization clinic on Wednesday, Feb. 10, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Faculty Center. Vaccination is fast, safe and easy.

Don’t spend spring break home with the flu!
