Bus trip to New York City

RIC students, faculty and staff are invited on the fall edition of “Babbitt’s Run,” a bus trip to New York City, on Saturday, Oct. 17.
The bus will leave from Parking Lot A (The first lot on the right approaching the campus from the Mount Pleasant entrance) promptly at 6:30 a.m. The bus proceeds directly to its regular stop at Brown University, and then heads to New York City. Parking at RIC is free and monitored by campus security.

Provided numbers warrant, the bus will hold 54 passengers and have a restroom. However, if numbers necessitate a smaller, 31-passenger bus, there will brief 15-minute rest stop. Due to the cost per person being higher for a smaller bus, an additional $5 would be collected on the day of the trip.

The bus arrives in New York City between 10 and 10:30 a.m. Passengers will be dropped off at stops along 5th Avenue, proceeding down to Battery Park, allowing passengers to debark according to their requests.

There are no planned activities during the day and passengers are responsible for their own welfare from the time they leave the bus until the time they board it again.

The bus leaves New York City promptly at 8 p.m. from in back of Trump Tower on Madison Avenue. It will arrive back in Providence between 11 and 11:30 p.m.

Round-trip transportation cost is $45 per person. Paid registrations must be received by Sept. 19.If the trip is canceled due to insufficient numbers, checks will not be cashed and will be returned to you.
