Every gift counts...
Every gift counts...
If every RIC nursing alumna gives $10 we will reach our goal!
I am writing to you because you know that excellent nurses are critical for quality health care. You also know the value of the fine nursing education Rhode Island College provides and the vital role it plays in advancing the profession of nursing.
To grow and improve, we created the Dean’s Development Fund to support our students, faculty and programs. At our Celebration and Fundraiser on Nov. 21, 2008, 135 alumni and friends joined the Founders Circle as donors to the Dean’s Development Fund.
Thanks to the generosity of our donors the new funds are beginning to enrich the lives of students and support the work of faculty. Already, the Dean’s Development Fund has made the following possible:
• The program, “Journey Towards Nursing Excellence: Meeting the Health Care Needs of Veterans,” in May 2009
• Support for nursing students and faculty to attend and make presentations at national meetings
• The presentation of honor cords to RIC nursing students inducted into the nursing honor society, Sigma Theta Tau, International Honor Society in Nursing
To date we have raised $26,200; we need your help to reach our goal of $50,000 by June 30, 2009. Every gift counts – your gift of $10 or more will help ensure we reach our goal!
You can give easily online at www.ric.edu/givenow by designating your gift to the School of Nursing Founders Circle or please make your check payable to Rhode Island College Foundation, noting School of Nursing on the memo line, and mail to the RIC School of Nursing, 600 Mount Pleasant Ave., Providence, RI 02908.
I have seen first-hand how the Founders Circle has increased our ability to support students and faculty – at a time when we all face unprecedented challenges every day. I want to express my sincere thanks and appreciation to you for supporting us in this endeavor.
Very truly yours,
