RIC Maintenance Staff Polishes "Henry" Stone
Ralph Natale, Peter Ciniglio and Phil Brightman.
The Henry Barnard School’s “Henry” stone looks like new again, thanks to Rhode Island College’s maintenance department staff who spent some hot days this June repairing the snow-damaged entablature.
Ralph Natale, left, recreated the crumbled sandstone entablature from copying what remained of the original stone. The entablature was reinstalled at its current location form the original RIC location where the Providence Place Mall now stands.
Natale plans to stucco the surface of all three sections, to give an overall uniform appearance.
