R.I. students show off technology skills at Saturday events
WHAT: STEM-based technology competition and expo for R.I. public middle and high school students

More than 150 Rhode Island middle and high school students travel to Rhode Island College for a day of STEM-based (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) competition and learning opportunities. The R.I. Technology Education and Engineering Association will hold its annual Student Technology Association competition, where students vie for the best bridge designs, participate in video design challenges and race student-designed CO2. Meanwhile, the RI STEM Center is hosting a Tech Expo that showcases the best of local student STEM projects—including a solar car—and the latest in STEM manufacturing—with a visiting 3-D printer.
