RIC Workshop to Discuss Benefits of Owning a Home

Mortgage experts from Sovereign Bank will talk about the process and advantages of buying a home as part of a presentation titled, “Benefits of Home Ownership: A Home of Your Own,” in Rhode Island College’s Building 3, Room 015, on Thursday, March 28, from 4:30 to 6 p.m.

“This issue has become more and more critical since the rise of the financial crisis,” said Dante Del Giudice, Rhode Island College’s director of professional studies and continuing education. “It has been more difficult to be successful in getting our finances together.”

This presentation marks the third of five events offered by RIC’s Office of Professional Studies and Continuing Education in conjunction with Sovereign Bank, all of which were created to inform participants on financial security and success.

The next workshop, “Exploring Refinance Options and Making the Most of Your Home’s Equity,” will be held on Wednesday, April 10, and the final event, “Budgeting and Savings: Practicing Effective Money Management,” is scheduled for Thursday, April 25.

Each presentation in the series will be held in Room 015 of Building 3.
