Cassatt String Quartet, Judith Lynn Stillman Celebrate Czech Composers, Dec. 5  

One of America’s outstanding ensembles, the Cassatt String Quartet, is collaborating with pianist Judith Lynn Stillman in an exciting musical program called “Bravo Bohemia! Celebrating Czech Composers” on Wednesday, Dec. 5, at 1 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. in Sapinsley Hall at Rhode Island College.

Works presented are by composers Josef Suk, Victor Ullman, and Antonin Dvoƙák.

Manhattan-based, the Cassatt String Quartet comprises Muneko Otani and Jennifer Leshnower on violin, Sarah Adams on viola and Nicole Johnson on cello.

The ensemble has performed around the globe and presented on radio. They have also been named three times on The New Yorker magazine’s Best of...CD Selection.

Pianist Judith Lynn Stillman is artist-in-residence and professor of music at Rhode Island College with an impressive international reputation.

Renowned for her “sweeping, energy-packed temperament and never-failing vivaciousness,” she has been hailed “poetess of the piano” and has dazzled audiences on four continents.
