Natalie MacMaster brings Celtic virtuoso fiddling to Rhode Island College, Dec. 9
Celtic fiddle player Natalie MacMaster brings her jubilant, high-energy music to RIC in a Performing Arts Series holiday-themed concert on Sunday, Dec. 9, at 7:30 p.m. in the Roberts Hall Auditorium.
A native of Cape Breton Island in Nova Scotia, MacMaster has received many awards over her three-decade career, including multiple gold albums, two Grammy nominations and one Grammy award, as well as a Juno Award.
Returning to RIC by popular demand, this electrifying performer will present an invigorating collection of toe-tapping jigs, reels and strathspeys in a high-energy holiday-themed concert. (A strathspey is a type of fiddle tune often associated with Cape Breton.)
