RIC Chamber Orchestra, small ensembles in concert, Nov. 11  

The Rhode Island College Chamber Orchestra and small ensembles will perform in concert on Sunday, Nov. 11, at 7:30 p.m. in the Nazarian Center’s Sapinsley Hall.

The concert, conducted by John Sumerlin, will feature Brandenburg Concerto #4, JS Bach, with solo violinist Stan Renard, and Concerto in D Major, Op. 3 #9, Vivaldi, with solo violinist Kelsey Foeller.

Sumerlin, violinist and conductor of the RIC Chamber Orchestra, has been a professor of music at the college since 1989. He teaches violin and viola, is the head of the chamber music program, and is a founding member of the RIC faculty ensemble Proteus String Quartet.
