Four artists from fellowship residencies to exhibit at Bannister Gallery Nov. 1-21
Four artists who recently attended residency fellowship programs will exhibit their works special Bannister Gallery show, “Residents: The Gift of Time,” from Nov. 1-21. An opening reception will be held on Thursday, Nov. 1, from 5-8 p.m.
Sophia Ainslie, Linda Leslie Brown, Yizhak Elyashiv and Jennifer Moses will showcase the art they produced while having time devoted solely to their art through their various residencies.
Ainslie and Elyashiv each studied in Ireland. Brown received residency fellowships in Georgia and Connecticut, while Moses completed a residency in New Mexico. Elyashiv, a printmaker, is a faculty member at Rhode Island College.
Curated by Jennifer Moses, the show is a collaboration among Bannister Gallery, the Kingston Gallery in Boston and the Alliance of Artist Communities, an international art residency organization based in Providence.
The exhibition will be augmented by a public forum in which writers and poets will also participate.
