Muir String Quartet performs Beethoven at RIC, Nov. 5
Muir String Quartet will perform the fourth a six-part Beethoven Cycle in a Performing Arts Series concert on Monday, Nov. 5, at 7:30 p.m. in the Nazarian Center’s Sapinsley Hall.
The performance will include String Quartet in F Minor, Op. 95; String Quartet in B-flat Major Op.18, No. 6; and String Quartet in A Minor, Op. 132.
In residence at Boston University since 1983, the Muir String Quartet has been nominated for and won several music industry awards including a Grammy nomination and a Grammy award for its work.
The quartet performs benefit work for Classics for Kids Foundation, which offers matching grants in support of strings programs nationwide. Muir’s latest endeavor is performing as part of the newly formed Montana Chamber Music Society, the first such statewide society in America.
