RIC Opera Workshop performance at Portsmouth High School, April 26

RIC Opera Workshop performance from 2011.
Students in the Opera Workshop at Rhode Island College will perform at Portsmouth High School on April 26 at 12:35 p.m. for students from Portsmouth, Middletown, Newport and Tiverton high schools.

The performance, sponsored by Up With School Arts, will include scenes from The Daughter of the Regiment by Gaetano Donizetti, The Magic Flute, Don Giovanni and The Marriage of Figaro by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, The Barber of Seville by Gioacchino Rossini, Dido and Aeneas by Henry Purcell, Little Women by Mark Adamo, and Candide by Leonard Bernstein.

Co-directors are RIC professor Edward Markward and adjunct professor Susan Rodgers. Accompanying the singers are pianists Philip Martorella, adjunct professor, and Brandon Donahue '09.
