Bannister Gallery to present group exhibition, Hall Space display, March 1-29

Doris Weiner, "Living Walls 3."

Marcia Goodwin, "Sacred Sounds III."
“Acquire/Inquire: A Group Exhibition” will feature the works of Deborah Barlow, Marcia Goodwin, Doris Weiner and Denyse Wilhelm at Bannister Gallery from March 1-29.

An opening reception will be held on Thursday, March 1, from 5-8 p.m.

To inquire – to engage in the intentional act of discovery – connects the work of the four artists.

Deborah Barlow, "Taypaw 2."

Denyse Wilhelm, "Spine."

The objects, books and memories they have acquired are the results of lives lived in purposeful inquiry, provoking and sustaining their work.

In their art, elements of nature, culture, mysticism, choreography and music are transformed into visual ideographs that are dimensional, vibrant, ambient and atmospheric.

The exhibition is curated by James Montford, director of Bannister Gallery.

Silvi Naci, "Adele."

The Hall Space Gallery will feature Silvi Naci. Her interest lies within the tension and relationship of different factors put together and their reaction with one another.

A woman devoured by nature is a recurring theme in her work and represents her way of thinking about beauty, mortality and life cycles.

Gallery hours during exhibits are Tuesday through Friday, noon to 8 p.m. Exhibits and events are free and open to the public. Accessible to persons with disabilities.
