RIC student receives Leadership RI award

RIC student Amanda Hannon received the 2012 Emerging Leader Award from Leadership Rhode Island, a community leadership development organization.

Hannon, a student in the college’s Feinstein School Of Education and Human Development, was recognized for her steadfast commitment to preventing bullying throughout Rhode Island and her strong leadership skills.

Hannon is also executive vice president of RIC's chapter of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and a peer mentor for students with disabilities at Rhode Island College.
