RIC to recognize 2012 African American History Month with a full schedule of events

The Association for the Study of African American Life and History – founder of Black History Month – is dedicating the 2012 Annual Black History Theme to exploring African American women’s roles in and contributions to the making of America.

In February, Rhode Island College will present films, lectures, readings, classes and more in recognition of African American History Month, with many events devoted to the theme of Black Women in American History and Culture. The month-long series is coordinated by The Unity Center at RIC.
