Judith Lynn Stillman, New England Winds to perform Feb. 8

The Wednesday Chamber Music Series at RIC will present “Flying Winds: U.S. Air Force New England Winds” on Wednesday, Feb. 8, at 1 p.m. in the Nazarian Center's Sapinsley Hall.

This select group of professional airmen-musicians will collaborate with series director and pianist Judith Lynn Stillman to provide a world-class and inspiring concert.

The New England Winds are recognized throughout the Northeast for passionate performances that intimately connect with audience members of all ages.

Listeners are treated to a repertoire ranging from music of the Baroque era to newly commissioned works. The group also delights audiences with its grasp of popular, Broadway, patriotic, jazz and folk music.

The New England Winds is a subgroup of The United States Air Force Band of Liberty – one of 10 Air Force bands nationwide – devoted to inspiring the country through the power of music by producing innovative musical programs and products, and communicating Air Force excellence throughout New England and the world.
