Bannister Gallery presents RIC Faculty Exhibition, Sept. 8-30

The Annual Faculty Exhibition – which runs from Sept. 8-30 – offers an opportunity for the community to see firsthand the inspiring talent that is in residence at Rhode Island College.

An opening reception will be held on Thursday, Sept. 8, from 5-8 p.m.

Michael Cochran, 'Buddhi.'
Represented will be the 3-D works of faculty and adjuncts. There will be gallery walk-throughs with the exhibiting artists the evening of the reception.

The artists on the faculty are very much a part of the current aesthetic and formal dialogue in their various approaches to artmaking, including research-based and interdisciplinary methods that are at the core of best practice models.

As a result, students are encouraged by faculty example to think across boundaries. These distinguished and award-winning artists collectively bring a unique vision to the region’s cultural tapestry.

Gallery hours during exhibits are Tuesday through Friday, noon to 8 p.m. Exhibits and events are free and open to the public. Accessible to persons with disabilities. For information on event dates and exhibit opening receptions, check the website at or call (401) 456-9765.
