RIC 2011 Earth Day Celebration – April 27

“Green Economy and the Future Workforce” will be the featured presentation at RIC’s 2011 Earth Day Celebration on Wednesday, April 27, from 12:30-2 p.m. in the Fortes Room of Adams Library.

The topic will be explored by Glenn Bachman, author, management consultant and creator of RIC Outreach Programs’ Green Certificate program. In addition, there will be an opportunity to purchase a signed copy of Bachman’s book, “The Green Business Guide.”

Students from the Henry Barnard School will be on hand to distribute Earth Day seedling packs to attendees.

In conjunction with the event, the Student Union is sponsoring the RIC Green Idea Contest. RIC students can send their ideas to make RIC more ecologically active to the RIC Green Team at green@ric.edu by Friday, April 22.

Four RIC students will be selected to receive $10 in Campus Points to use for on-campus vending. Winners will be notified by email and their names will be announced during the April 27 Earth Day Celebration.
