The RIC Dance Department will be present its 52nd annual spring concert from Feb. 25-27 in the Nazarian Center’s Sapinsley Hall. This year, works of Colleen Cavanaugh, Kathy Gordon Smith, Marta Renzi, Billy Siegenfeld, Gary Shore and Clay Taliaferro will be featured.

The concert series is dedicated to the memory of Billie Ann Burrill, who was a founder and first director of the RIC Dance Company, and also served as technical director and lighting designer for the company for 20 years.

Burrill, who died in 2010, received a Doctor of Fine Arts from RIC in 2005. She was known for achievement and excellence in the performing arts, physical education, and during her retirement years, as a world record-setting competitive swimmer.
