Graduate Studies Open House – Jan. 11

The Graduate Studies Open House at RIC will provide prospective students with the latest information on over 30 graduate programs offered through the college’s five schools.

The Open House will be held Tuesday, Jan. 11, from 4-7 p.m. in the Student Union Ballroom. (The snow date is Thursday, Jan. 13, from 4-7 p.m.)

Faculty members and students in Graduate Studies as well as representatives from Financial Aid and Career Development will be on hand to offer insight and answer questions.

“Students enroll in graduate studies at Rhode Island College to enhance their careers, build their credentials or enrich their professional knowledge,” said Leslie Schuster, dean of graduate studies. “RIC offers graduate programs in social work, education, nursing, arts and sciences, and accounting, as well as a doctoral program in education. The Open House is the perfect place for students to explore these possibilities and meet with faculty and students in the programs.”

Out-of-state residents can take advantage of the college’s Metropolitan Tuition Policy that allows students whose permanent place of residence is within a 50-mile radius of Providence to attend RIC for in-state tuition rates plus 50 percent.

The $50 graduate application fee will be waived for applicants who attend the Open House. (Fee waiver not applicable to the Doctoral Program.)
