Damian Foley is Assistant Professor of Music at Rhode Island College, where his
responsibilities include studio instruction of all undergraduate and graduate
trumpet students, coaching of brass chamber ensembles, and master classes in
brass performance. He also serves as Principal Trumpet in the Narragansett Brass
Quintet.
He is Principal Trumpet in the Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra, a founding member of the Atlantic Brass Quintet, and a frequent performer with the Boston Symphony Orchestra and Boston Pops Orchestra, among several others. He has over fifty arrangements for brass to his credit, several of which have been recorded by the Atlantic Brass Quintet. His teaching experience includes appointments at the University of Massachusetts-Lowell, Boston University School for the Arts, Boston Conservatory of Music, and Harvard University, among others. He holds Bachelors and Masters degrees in trumpet performance from Boston University, studying with Roger Voisin, Rolf Smedvig, and master teacher Arnold Jacobs.
