Academic Background

Carol M. Giuriceo received her Ph.D. in Education in the joint program offered by the University of Rhode Island and Rhode Island College. Previously, she completed a BFA in Film and Television from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University (NYU) in New York City. Her past work has included television research, video production, exhibition design, museum education and program evaluation. Most recently, her focus has been on science education especially with girls and other populations traditionally underrepresented in the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields. In addition to teaching Women’s Studies, she also teaches in the Educational Foundations Department at RIC and at the School of Education at the University of Rhode Island (URI).
